Small Business SEO-How To Use Keywords In Your SEO Plan

Bill Parlaman and SEO Expert Howie Schwartz

Me and Internet Marketing Guru Howie Schwartz

I’m  attending an SEO conference over the next few days where I’ll be speaking and attending a private invitation only mastermind group with some of the top online marketing and SEO minds in the world.

I’m really looking forward to sharing  with you some of the cutting edge techniques folks are using to dominate the search engines for their markets and niches.

But first, lets get back to our our conversation on small business SEO planning.

In my last post I discussed the importance of SEO mindset and why it’s important to change your mindset before starting your SEO activities.

So today I want to get into the nitty gritty of your SEO planning and talk about your Keywords.

Keywords are basically words and phrases your buyers are typing into the search engines to find information.  Keywords can either be one word or a series of words.

Keywords are the cornerstone of your online marketing campaign because they’re the commercial intent of your buyer. Its whats going on in their mind.

So now that you understand what keywords are, it’s important to understand how Google (and the other search engines) use them.

Google basically looks to match the words your buyers are typing into the search engines to the words and phrases on your website.  Once you know the words your buyers are typing,  it’s basically a piece of cake to create content and give it to them on a silver platter.

Now of course it’s important that you’re using the “right” keywords for you business and in my next post I’ll show you how to do this.

Now get busy, Bill Parlaman
