SEO Website Design-Is Your Website Design Costing You Money?
A big mistake a lot of business owners make with their website design and site structure is thinking in terms of “the whole” and NOT in terms of keywords and web pages.
In other words, you should think of your website in terms of being built around keywords and then create pages of content around those keywords.
You see, each page of your website must stand on its own, meaning,each web page should be focused around one keyword or topic supported by 2 or 3 other similar or theme based keywords.
This is why it’s a mistake to force all of your keywords onto your home page.
You see, in most cases you want to shoot for a 3% keyword density on your web page meaning for every 100 words written words of content you’ll want to use your main keywords at least 3 times.
If you list all of your keywords on one page your keyword density will become diluted or it will be too high.
And make no mistake about it, the way Google is cracking down these days I wouldn’t recommend going any higher than 3% or risk being penalized for keyword stuffing.
You’ll also want to make sure each page has it’s own unique title tag, meta description and <H1> Headline tag.

You don’t necessarily want your prospects finding your website through your home page. In a perfect world you’ll want them to land on the page with the information they’re looking for.
You see, in most cases your prospects search online for pain relief.
My customer is a business owner who has the pain of a non performing website, maybe they’re getting little or no traffic to their website, or maybe their website is non existent in Google. So when my prospects are searching for their pain relief, I want my individual web page to be their elixir, make sense?
In fact, I would argue that if most of your traffic finds your website via your home page your website is not properly optimized.
