You see when people search online whether it’s via Google, Yahoo or MSN they are actually searching for a solution to a problem and not necessarily looking for your business.
One of the biggest problems most businesses have with their website marketing is “Findability”
In other words how easy is it for your customers to find you?
I mean what good is it to have a website or business blog and your prospects can’t find you? Am I right?
There are thousands and thousands of entries in the search engines and your challenge is to be found on the first page of the results that pop up after your prospect has entered their “search term.”
So, what do I mean by a search term? We’ll think of it this way-your prospect is in some sort of pain, whether it’s physical, mental, or financial and your business offers the very best solution to easing their pain or solving their problem.
What search terms would your ideal prospect type into the search engine? What are the KEYWORDS your prospects will most likely type to find your business.
These Keywords are what you want to focus on when you’re building your website or business blog because it makes absolutely no sense at all to build a website if you do not know what your prospects are searching for.
