As an SEO consultant, one of the services I provide my small business SEO clients are weekly SEO results SEO Results Google Dancereports.

Now while this is a nice service to offer, sometimes it’s a blessing and a curse…here’s why.

First, I want to be clear,  SEO results are important and you have to measure them.

All I’m saying is…DON’T STRESS OUT!

Here’s the deal, SEO is a bit of a moving target.

Your search engine rankings can fluctuate back and forth several times before settling in.

This is called, “  The Google Dance.”

This is especially true when you first get your SEO campaign up and running for the first time.

You see, when you first start implementing solid SEO strategies, it’s possible to see a tremendous jump in your rankings.

Perhaps moving up several pages at once.

However, sometimes after this initial jump your website slides down a few spots or even a page. This is completely natural.

This is completely NORMAL.  The important thing here is NOT to go nuts.

You might be tempted to ratchet up your efforts and really hit your site hard with various SEO promotions. This is a big mistake.

You see, the search engines, ( especially Google) wants to see natural progression and natural link building.

If you’ve not done squat to your website for years and then you suddenly start bombing it with links, it’s not going to look natural.

SEO is like a fine wine, sometimes you need to let it breathe.

The more natural your SEO promotions, the better the results.

What this means to you is more traffic and more money in your pocket.

So next time you’re websites invited to the Google dance, let it go out and have a good time. Sometimes you just need to let it’s hair down.

So stop stressing over every little fluctuation in your rankings. If you apply solid SEO best practices, ( Like those here in this blog), you’re site will rocking the search engines in no time!
