Quick- What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when I ask you, ” What do you do?” or “What business are you in?”
Did you think… I’m a Realtor, Plumber,Karate Instructor, General Contractor or Laundromat owner?
In other words, was the first thing to pop into your mind the “thing you do?”
Well if you are like most small business owners this is probably the first thing you thought and this is where your problem starts.
Because most business owners see themselves only as the technician of the thing they do and not the marketer of the thing…make sense?
You spend most of your days, weeks and months perfecting the “thing” you do instead of the marketing of the “thing.”
You see it doesn’t matter that you’re greatest Realtor,Plumber, Karate Instructor, GC or Candlestick maker–the fact is if you do not have a consistent system for generating a steady stream of new customers and leads what does it matter?
The fact you provide great products and customer service should just be a by-product of what you do. This is what gets your current customers to stay and stick around
