How Knowledge Grows Businesses

A few Saturdays ago I drove up to Norwalk, Connecticut with my wife to attend a seminar on growing your business Marketing bookswith Facebook ads.  Norwalk is  about a three hour drive from my home in the Philly burbs.

The seminar was free and you just needed to pre-register if you wanted to attend.

I live in Philly which is about a three hour drive.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, temps in the low 80′s, humidity low, and not a cloud in the sky.  Just gorgeous.

When I arrived there were only about five other people who showed up for the seminar.

I guess the weather was too nice or everyone’s wallets were too fat to fit through the front door.

So for the next five hours I learned some powerful stuff on growing your list with Facebook ads and social media.

I discovered things about Facebook  ads I would have never known unless I took the time out of my weekend to learn.

I’m not telling you this story to be a martyr. I’m telling you this because  you can never stop learning.

You need to ask yourself every day, What do I need to know more about?

I’m working with a group of fifteen entrepreneurs and they spend every Thursday with me learning the ins and outs of small business Internet marketing. They’re learning how to create websites with Word Press, how to capture leads with their website and how to dominate Google.

Some of the business owners are Realtors, furniture store owners and security systems installers. These business owners do not think of learning as a burden but rather a way to grow their business and reach their ultimate goal, whatever it is.

It’s important for you to keep an open mind and be responsive to new ideas. Nobody has all the answers and your way is not the only way.

Just try to learn one new thing about your business or marketing every day. Then, take what you’ve learned and implement it. It will do you and your business a world of good!

Now go dominate Google, Bill Parlaman

P.S. Speaking of learning something new. My good friend Charlie Seymour has just released his  new book, Hey You…Don’t Stand Out-Get Out.  This book shows you how to Get Out from the crowd and use Information Products to build a well-oiled business.  If you’re new to business or struggling to find your way, this book is for you. I’ve known Charlie for some time now and he is one of the nicest and sharpest guys I know.

You can pick up a copy of his book below and If you hurry you can pick up some incredible bonuses:
