Lead Generation-Why You Must Use Lead Generation On Your Website And Offline Marketing

Get Your Prospects To Raise Their Hand!
So last Wednesday I was asked to speak at the Philadelphia Chapter of Glazer Kennedy about using lead generation on your website and specifically how to put together a squeeze page.
If you are a marketer or a business owner and you have not heard of GKIC or Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer is I suggest you do a google search and find out all you can about them.
I’d also head over to Amazon.com and do a search for Dan Kennedy and buy all of his books.
So anyway I was asked to speak on using lead generation on your website and specifically using a squeeze page to capture leads.
You see NOT using lead generation on your website ( or your offline marketing for that matter) is one of the biggest mistakes I see marketers and entrepreneurs make in their marketing.
So what is lead generation? Lead Generation is simply capturing the information of your prospects in order to market to them at another time.
You do not expect them to buy from you right away.
But wait a minute Bill, what do you mean I don’t expect them to buy from me right away?
Well you see, for every 100 people to visit your website only 1-2 will buy something from you on their first visit.
What this means is out of the 100 people to visit your website 98-99 of them will leave your website!
Imagine if you had a way of capturing the names and emails of those 98-99 visitors who did not buy from you the first time.
After all it takes on average seven “touches” by you before your customers trust you enough to buy from you.
That’s right, I said trust…because if your prospect does not trust you nothing will get sold.
Look, you need to build a relatihonship with your customers and prospects. It’s no different than when you are dating. You dont go up to the first man or woman you see at the bar and ask them to marry you do you?
So then why would you do this in your marketing?
What you want to do is give away some information in exchange for your prospects name and email address. Once you have the the name you are able to start building your relationship with your customer.
The great thing about using lead generation in your marketing is you are only marketing to those prospects who have raised their hand and identified themselves as being intersted in you and your product.
Just think about how much time and money you will save only marketing to those who are interested in what you are selling.
You see most small businesses try to cast a wide net over everyone. The problem with this strategy is “everyone” is not your customer.
So in the next few days I will go more in depth on using lead generation and how you can leverage these skills to make a killing in your business.
Now go make money!
