This Week In Internet Marketing-Week Ending 01 27 2012

If your’re reading this Congratulations…you’ve made it  through another week!Internet Marketing News 2012 01 27

That’s the good news.

The bad news is you’re probably too busy to keep up with the top stories relating to SEO and online marketing, right?

Not to worry, I’ve got your back.

So lets dig right in.

Below you’ll find this week’s most important and interesting internet marketing news stories as selected by Radical Marketing Solutions:

    • Google Webmaster Tools Updates Top Search Quieres Data: In the past, Google took the average position of ALL URLs from your site for a given search query. Now they are only averaging the top position a URL from your website appeared in. This will make it easier for you to determine where your site is ranking for certain search queries.
    • Google Analytics Training For Small Business Owners:Speaking of Google Analytics, you might have missed the email I sent out this week asking you to check out the new FREE Resource for small business owners. It’s all about helping you become more familiar with Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools. Enjoy!
    • WTF Pinterest: My wife Michelle turned me on to this site a couple of weeks ago. She uses it to find cool ideas for taking baby pictures. Basically Pinterest is a Social Media Platform where you can build “Vision” or “Wish” boards using images and then share them socially. Michael Martine over at Remarkablogger does a great job of explaining exactly what Pinterest is all about.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll talk to you next week.

Now go dominate Google, Bill Parlaman

  1. Lauren says:

I think Pinterest is a great tool for people whose businesses fit in with the look and feel of Pinterest. It’s for creative, artistic companies, design driven companies who are developing great products that follow the look of etsy or handmade or small business. The key to Pinterest is great design. It would really be a shame if the site turned into another Facebook with too much advertising and people pushing their products and sales.

That said, it’s a great tool for anyone with a unique and interesting product or blog that fits in with the trendy and upbeat site.

  2. Wow Lauren, thanks for the great tutorial on Piterest. These are great tips anyone can use. Thanks a bunch for sharing. You’re awesome!
